O.N. 148744. 6,734g. 3,656n. 441.7 x 60.0 x 29.1 feet.
Two 8-cyl. 4 S.C.S.A. (740 x 1,200mm) B&W type oil engines by Allgemeine Electric Gesselschaft, Berlin, geared to twin propeller shafts. 1,313nhp.

27.1.1926: Launched by Deutsche Werft A.G., Finkenwerder, Hamburg (Yard No. 93) for Rio-Cape Line Ltd., (Furness, Withy & Company Ltd., managers).
26.3.1926: Registered at London
4.1926: Completed.
16.3.1928: Whilst on a voyage from New York via Los Angeles with general cargo, departed Los Angeles for Yokohama.
24.3.1928: Wireless communication was lost after which vessel disappeared.

Hi Stephen, my great uncle William Lindsay Duncan was the Captain of the AP when she disappeared in 1928. Very interested in any research/writing you’ve undertaken. Maggie
Sorry for the delay in replying. I have almost finished my details about the Asiatic Prince and I am looking to publish a booklet about the loss of the ship. When published I will contact you again. Stephen
