I have been trying to trace the tug above "Barney" for a few days now. She is owned by Thames & Medway towage.

I have her engine specs and her current owner but i need to know where she was built and who her previous owners are.

Also if anyone has any other photos that would be great (Thumb)

I look forward to somebody replying to this thread as i really want to trace this tug (*))

Bit of a mystery this one. Thought to have been the UNITY one of Sergeants open workboats. Cut about , lengthened and ballasted down. If she did belong to Sergeants I would have thought she was built locally. Thats all I can offer.

Cheers matey. Are you the riverman from the knights tug site? Any idea when the unity was built?

Saw the Barney wheelhouse,just the top of it sticking out behind some barges at pipers wharf,Greenwich. Ill try and get some shots of her soon.
