Hi there .. New to the group.

I'm researching an ancestor (E. Hardwick) who crewed on the BARON BLYTHSWOOD Official No=161807 from 1935 onwards. Looking for pics of the ship and any information on her, crew, officers, etc.

BARON BLYTHSWOOD was torpedoed 21 Sep 1940 by U-Boat (U-99) with all but one crew member perishing. That crew member was taken onboard U-99 and later put onto one of the three lifeboats from the INVERSHANNON. These later became separated when the weather deteriorated and the chief officer's boat and its occupants were never seen again, including the sole survivor from BARON BLYTHSWOOD. I have confirmed Hardwick was not onboard that fateful day.

Any info, pics etc much appreciated.
