My dad was on British Endurance in 1948 when I was born, does anyone have any details or photos.

British Endurance, 8406 tons built 1936 by Swan Hunter & Wigan Richardson @ Newcastle. 466.3 x 61.9 x 33.9. ! 4 cylinder Doxford diesel engine 2s csa.
DF, ESD,Radar. Code flags MLZM. Carrying petroleum in bulk. Owned by British Tanker Co; Registered in London. British flag.
Go to www.warsailors.com and when in site click on ships list/convoys HXL49. where she is mentioned in a convoy.

Many thanks for replies on British Endurance, does anyone know if she was sold on, or where and when broken up. Iain

Iain,
Just to tidy things up - the Endurance was completed by Swan Hunter in October 1936. In February 1959 she was sold to Louis Worms of Holland & renamed Redwijs II. In August 1959 she went for scrap to Yawata, Japan.
Will scan another photo of her tomorrow & post as a thumbnail to this thread.
