I've been going through my 4,000 odd slides and gradually digitising them on my computer. I was in the UK on leave from my ship (R/O) and took this 1969 view of Weymouth beach with the Caesarea berthing stern first in the Harbour. Went around to the harbour and took a stern view of her alongside the Quay. Move forward 14 years and whilst in Hong Kong took this picture of the Aesarea (ex Caesarea) swinging around a buoy in Victoria Harbour. Attached the pics for those who may be interested. Cheers Nigel

My first trip - Weymouth to Guernsey and as sick as a parrot. So bad, I flew back. First flight too but I was OK until the customs at Manchester hammered me.

Hi John, yes that stretch of water could get quite lumpy at times, especially around the Casquettes. Courtesy of a hot late summer and the ROU, I had two months as relief R/O on the Sarnia/GHNF (Well just under when I wasn't part of the duty crew), Caesarea's sister ship.

Ha ha, yes, luckily I was a passenger and didn't have to do anything! I see you were with AWA, when was that? I was with them from 1980 to 1992 when I was dragged kicking and screaming down the gangway for the last time. Think I was their last RO.

Hi John, I was with AWA from 1968 to 1974. I then left the sea and joined the RFDS over here in the West.
Cheers
