Built by Barclay Curle 1941 as EMPIRE PRIDE.Later became CHARLTON PRIDE and acquired by Donaldson in 1956 and renamed CALGARIA. She was scrapped in 1963.

I was aboard her in Montreal in 1961. She wasn't as lucky as Donaldson's Samboat 'Lakonia' ex Samtrusty (1944), which Donaldsons sold on in 1962, and which lasted another 10 years.

Were you on her in SEPT 1961. I believe it and the tanker my father was on at the time allisioned together. Is this the same one?

All I can be sure of is that it was Montreal and at the very end of September 1961. I was R/O on Donaldsons Santona and I had a conversation with her R/O Moody.
