I was sent to the Carmania in 1962 when she was in clydebank we had to sleep ashore as she was,nt finished her convertion, I have many memory,s on board her. I was on her for her first set of cruise,s,One of the most memorable was i met my boss on her. We have just celebrated our 41st Wedding aniversary ( who ship board romance,s don,t last, I can rabbit on about Cunard line all night But it will boring So i will go now
I sailed on the RMS Carmania in early 1970 for 3 x 28 day cruises, the Skipper was Capt Warwick and he son was the second mate. I hated every minute of being there and couldn't wait to get on the cargo boats
