I took this in March 1977 on the New Waterway with a note -ex LORD CODRINGTON??
Could anyone confirm if she is indeed this Scotts' 1954 built ship.

i'm afraid not. The Lord Codrington and Lord Byron (both 9,364tg and 501 ft length) did not have the samson post forward of the foremast. The Lord Gladstone (1959 11,299tg and 530ft loa) may have. If it was an ex Norship. Apart from that the superstructure etc looks similar.

Somebody has never enough...

in 1978 she was renamed CAPETAN COSTIS
in 1980 STYLIANI
in 1981 MALDIVE PRIVILEGE
in 1984 DYNASTY HURA

Do not ask me what was her final fate because she disappears from the Registers without explanation in 1987.

Yes she was the same ship always.

Not only she changed several owners, flags and trades, with consequent opening or closing of spaces, etc.,but also during her long life also tonnage regulations changed (do not ask me when and how), so differences and/or adjustments are inevitable.

Hi,
I had been the agents in Chittagong whilst she was under tow from Colombo to Chittagong for beaching. She was scrapped during Feb 1984

Regards
