I can not open the .heic photos on my Windows 7 laptop. Should I convert them into common format like jpg?

Just type .heic photos to jpeg in Google or Bing and all will be revealed.

There are also online converters for them.

See if the quality improves.

Do the photos come off a mobile phone? If so what does the maual say.
