Corabank Stamps

Whilst i was Master of Corabank the Solomon Islands issued a stamp of the ship - as I was master at the time I was asked to stamp (with the ship's stamp) and sign 100 first day covers - I have posted a scan of the cover in the gallery - a search for Corabank or Stamp should find it.

All the best

Richard - Just had a look at your First Day Cover, what a great souvenir for you. Super handwriting too - wish I had a bit of that in my Discharge Book instead of the stuff that looks like a medical prescription. Pity the Solomons are not a very happy place just now.

Polaris37 - Great photo. I assume it's Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu (formerly new Hebrides). Amazing that 25 years ago it was David Attenborough territory, but I went there a couple of years back to see my daughter play netball!

Robin29 - Now I know why the dose of crabs I copped in Tiger Bay turned out to be copra bugs!
