Pompetfan...

I accept your 'nothing 'political' on the P&W (although sometimes it's difficult to separate the medical from the political)..

However, it's strange that you can't comment the politics of the chancellor and home secretary, without being called 'stupid', but you can question their ethnicity and post about 'foreigners breeding like rabbits'..

My comments were about letting punters die, not the chancellor or home secretary. And where did breeding like rabbits come from?

Thank you for your comments. I fully understand what you are saying.

As for the number of people dying in care homes, I have no idea, but I would not blame the PM because some care homes are private. I say that because when I worked in the mortuary the majority of deaths were from Care/Nursing Homes. Every winter we had hundreds most dying of pneumonia. I am not sure if the government are aware of the problem. They were not during my time so possibly not now. I could not tell them because of confidentiality. I still can't say too much for the same reason. Basically it is a staffing issue. That is all I am prepared to say. Please understand that care homes are not hospitals.

Kit Malthouse MP.....

The latest Cabinet Minister to be unable to answer the question......"must the public wear a face mask when going into Prêt a Manger this Friday?"

The question, asked of every Cabinet Minister interviewed every weekday morning on Sky News since the announcement of the compulsory face masks in shops...... has been a bit of a running joke as none of them could give an answer without tying themselves in knots.
Every regular viewer knows the question will be asked.

Malthouse didn't.......the only person concerned who didn't.........:)

"I don't know.

....I'll have to get back to Head Office to find out"

It begs the next question......"How is the public supposed to know?"

Keith

I have no idea what you mean by taking a stance. And why are you angry and frustrated? My hands are tied by confidentiality from the time I was working. If I told the entire story when working people would understand. The link Sparkie posted was a real eye opener, indeed shocking, but I retired years ago so no idea how care homes in general operate today. Hopefully not as bad as the programme.

Now, the Government is facing a deficit for this year of more than twice that. And how does it react? By awarding above-inflation pay rises to public sector workers. Not that I begrudge this. However teachers are to receive a mind-boggling 3.1%. Some of those who worked from home are to be applauded. Most sat at home in the garden, watching Netflix, or lowering their handicap on the golf course. The NEU of teachers with the help of militant politicians blocked every attempt for the teachers to return. They were not furloughed to 80% of their salary like the rest of the working population but continued to enjoy full salary while looking forward to the summer holidays. I have the feeling that they will walk down the same road come September when they are supposed to return.

School Teachers 3.1%
Doctors & Dentists 2.8%
Police Officers 2.5%
Armed Forces 2%
National Crime Agency 2.5%
Prison Officers 2.5%
Judiciary 2%
Senior Civil Servants 2%
Senior Military 2%

The "grunts" left behind as usual.......their voting Conservative may not have been such a good idea after all.

Same old story......same old Tories.

I'm sure you gathered all the neighbourhood kids in your sitting room, told them to 'social distance' and "did your bit to get their parents back to work"..

If you didn't; why not? Are you a leftie militant, or what?

Oh yeah. My golf handicap would then be going up when the teachers on our golf course there handicap would be going down. Its very hard to compete with these sun tanned teachers. But they will soon be going on holiday with their pay rise. whilst most of the working population will not be able to afford a holiday. after being furloughed and the threat of redundancies.
Me a lefty(Jester) Please pay more attention Expats.

Yet another of your incoherent posts...If I understand your reasoning (and that is like plaiting fog) you put your golf handicap ahead of getting your neighbours back to work.
What kind of 'Dunkirk Spirit' is that? You have just forfeited the 'Spitfire flyover'...I hope you bow your head in shame the next time you hear 'We'll meet Again"(Jester)
