I wioll fill you in on Broompark of 1961, I joinedin Immingham 28th March '61 and left 5th June 1962 in Sakrijima Japan the Master on joining was I.C.campbell, who was replaced by Hector Mac Donald,who was replaced 6 months later by W. Tawse a gentleman of the first order,who sadly crossed the bar a number of years ago in Aus. on board ship so I am told. I chucked Diamond D at the end of my apprenticeship to go ashore, it did not work out so like many more came back to sea . You should remember 3/officer WER Wingate, 2nd officer J.W.Johnstone, C/O Ian Haldane, Chief Eng. R.Menzies 2nd eng. D.Hogg.
