Hello,
this may be a long shot, but maybe...

I am looking for pictures and maybe some more info on a fishing ship called "Rubens" the O.297 (Ostend, Belgium)
It is the last ship that my great grandfather went on, his last fishing trip to iceland as skipper.
This ship would have banged into a uehm..... "zandbank" (if anyone can transelate this for me, thnx)
and wouldn't have ghone out anymore.
This is the only thing i knwo about it.

Built in 1946, the Belgian Fishing Company "Motorvisserij" purchased the Rubens on 5th January 1954, O.297 "Rubens" sank on 11th October 1960 after a collision with the British Steam Trawler H592 St. Apollo.

I don't know who of you could be right
maybe just too vessels with the same name?
If i get the chance i'll trie to find some more info from my grandfather.

ST CRISPIN 186688 536/46 1946/536 H86 CkB767 ex Rubens (Belgium) 55. Driven ashore 15/3/56 after gear fouled propeller Kudhafljot, SE Iceland. Refloated 4/56 repaired Reykjavik. # 3/65 Ghent.

looking

hello bit new here so not sure if this ok......can anyone tell me where i might find an old kelvin R6 or spares for my old ship....thanks if accaptable ..apologys if out of order....
