Sad to relate that Gibby Watt (Fraserburgh), passed away 19th July.
Gibby was one of our July 1964 Crinan intake. After Denholms, spent most of his seafaring life as mate and master on offshore (AHTS) vessels. Retired in 2016 after 52 years sea service. Highly respected by all who sailed with him. A larger than life character and friend to many of us.

Sad news. I remember him well from various exploits while in college in Aberdeen, but we never sailed together.

R.I.P. Gibby. Sailed with Gibby on the Crinan 1964, lost touch for many many
years and stumbled across him in the Far East when he was Captain of an "Anker Clanker"
