Ladybirds bite, but the invading harlequin seems to give worse bite than our native species, plus they also spread a sexually transmitted fungal disease.(Cloud)

Checking the web I see that the Asian species of Lady IRD is gradually encroaching on NZ crops and may well effect the taste of wine!
When I was a boy, a long time ago now, the lady birds in our garden were treated as friends and encouraged to settle on crops effected by aphid .
I recall the rhyme - Lady bird , lady bird , fly away home
Your house is on fire, your children are alone
These natives were always orange winged with black spots so how are they identified against the Asian intruder?

Conjugate the verb, To Catch.

I caught the Clap from a toilet seat
You caught the Clap from a Feelthy ***** at the Suez Canal
He caught the Clap from a Ladybird bite

Is this the Simple Past Case?

It is well known that only officers can catch the clap from a bog seat. Perhaps this (singularly unladylike) beetle is the vector in even more exalted circles.

Was the pox doctor's clerk held lucky because he got free treatment or because he knew the identity of his yo(un)g lady patients?

If the former then presumably HMRC would now claim tax based on benefit in kind. If the former then the FSC would have him for using insideher knowledge.
