Kanna sold 1967 to Panama renamed Luna Marina
Katui sold 1967 to Panama renamed Cindee.
Welcome to the site Maurie, hope you enjoy it, somebody will no doubt come up with a photo.

Hi Maurie, for what is worth, there are some pictures of both Kanna and Katui in Ian Farquar's book. Union Fleet. In fact pictures of most U.S.S.Co. ships. It is hard not to get nostalgiac when looking at some of the ships so familiar. The book is still available I believe. Regards John M.

Thanks JohnM, will endevour to obtain book. I have fond memories of the Katui, started out as DB then OS on her before rejoining her as AB
Was on her when Andy Keyworth joined her as his first command.
Thanks for that.
Cheers maurie

I remember Katui and Kanna as USS Co coasters where first trip Masters and recalcitrant engineers were posted!

Hi Maurie
I don't think I know you although I was also O/S or Acting AB on Katui in 1967. I think Andy Keyworth was still skipper when I joined her. I lost all my discharge papers and photo's of my time at sea 1964 - 1970, some years ago, which pissed me off a great deal. Cant remember the names of guys on her, so any jogging of my memory that you might be able to give would be welcome
