Management of the BNFL/PNTL/NDA/INS fleet was carried out by Fishers from the first cargo in 1967 on the Leven Fisher through to 2012 when the contract was switched to Serco.Denholm Ship Management tried to get their hands on the management contract, (or part of it) for the nuclear waste ships around the mid 1980's. I believe they may have been successfull eventually, but I am unable to confirm that.

I think it was before 1965 she was launched in Burntisland. I was on "St.Ninian" from 1960 -64 and we came out of drydock in Leith and she came in prior to handing over to her ownersThe Leven fisher was lunched in 1965 and not 1967 that is not to say that 1967 was not her first trip as I do not Know this date.
