Hi, I have inherited a set of bookshelves made by my grandfather when he was a plumber at Scotts in Greenock. They carry the name of a vessel which we have pieced together and think is
Shelf Rectangle Outdoor furniture Wood Stairs

Moorsman. Can anyone tell me anything about the vessel. I am guessing she was at Scotts for dismantling? Time frame would probably be the 1950s.

Probably one of C. Rowbotham & Sons tanker fleet. Co. was sold out to Fishers of Barrow.

From all accounts a good outfit to work for.

Plenty of ex Rowbotham's men on SN so i expect more detailed information will come your way.

In the 50,s Scotts would have been busy building new ships, but the Moorsman could have been in for a refit.
