Which two ships of the same class were named after same bloke!! and i wont except Wellington and Iron Duke!!
CLUE;these were post war built.

Pellew (F62) and Exmouth (F84). Blackwood class Type 14 2nd Rate Utility frigates. Edward Pellew was created viscount Exmouth for his exploits.

Congratulations Pusser 509!!

Your answer is correct . I read somewhere that these type 14 frigates, on account of their light armament if faced with a surfaced sub armed with a deck gun would be on a loser!!!

Quite right. They only mounted a pair of 40 MM bofors. These frigates were built at a time when it was thought quantity was better than quality. They had the advantage of putting more A/S vessels to sea at less cost, being smaller than the Type 12, using one half of their power plant and being more economical of manpower. The experiment wasn't repeated. They really proved their worth as fisheries protection vessels during the "cod war" with Iceland.
