I am trying to clear up a bit of a mystery. On several ship sites the Lucerna of HE Moss is listed as starting life as the Athelmonarch and becoming Lucerna in 1985. However, Lucerna and Lucellum both came out of Davies as Moss Tankers although originally ordered for Ogden Steamship Co. I sailed on both ships in about 1978 so Lucerna cannot have been Athelmonarch. Anyone cast any light on Lucerna? Yard number?
I am convinced that the info on some sites (including this one) is wrong - she never was Athelmonarch.
Thanks

Very interesting. It looks as if you have answered Peter! I know that he was connected to Cunard.
