Ronnie Moore. NZ speedway great. I saw him around 1952 at Edinburgh Monarchs speedway track at Meadowbank. He rode for Wembley Giants I think from London and did a guest circuit of the track only to come off at the first bend but still put in a respectable time. EM had Oz Jack Young at the time and he was so good that you could fill your program in with Jack in first place he was that good RIP Ronnie.

Thanks for the Edinburgh Monarchs and Meadowbank memories.
Hard to believe as a ten year old on holiday I saw EM Jack Young at New Cross stadium London in a 1949 world championship preliminary round.
RIP Ronnie Moore MBE one of speedway's greats.
