I've posted a couple of photos of RONSARD sailing from Avonmouth with part of her superstructure badly smashed in the Marine Casualties and Breaking section of the gallery -

Anyone know what happened? The hull looks undamaged so it looks as though either hit, or was hit by something with a large overhang

Joined Ronsard in 78 joined Canada dock liverpool sailed to Glasgow KG 5 dock loaded all sorts and every type of whiskey I’ve ever seen for South America run lived on corned (dog) for weeks but great trip

I served on the MV Deseado 79 and was birthed alongside the Ronsard in BA for a few days, had an evening on board the Ronsard as guests of her crew for a few beverages.
Loved the South American run but did tire of the corn dog
