I have a lot of equipment removed from two fishing boats during an
update to communications .
these are all Scanti and Sait, 400 watt rigs
, antenna tuners, and other pieces of equipment
also two Scramblers., unused comms Pa unit with two speakers, still in wrapping
all were in use and correct prior to being removed from the fishing boats
Thanks a lot for your reply to my ad! Yes, I‘m still looking for stuff made by Skanti, and shipping from Scotland won’t cost the world I guess. A few pictures would be very helpful, in particular the little ID plates on the Transceiver and the Control Unit. From these plates I get an idea on what the radios are capable of and if they would require extensive modifications to use them for Amateur Radio. The ATUs don’t differ very much, it would be fine if you could line them up and send me a picture of the lot.
I do own several Skanti TRP8000 radios and have installed and use a 400W and a 250W Unit at the moment. Mostly in CW but also for digimodes. As I don’t have a professional technical background I have to rely on that the radios are working, I don’t have the means to do repairs on the component level but I’m comfortable with disassembling the radios, swapping boards and re-programming the Configuration EPROMs.
Well, that’s it for starters I’m looking forward to receiving your answer.
