Found in the loft a 1940 wartime magazine called “Merchant men at War”.
Attached pic of the tanker Franch Comte that was torpedoed but still made port with 11,000 T of fuel oil. Amazing the punishment some of these vessel took and still survived.

Any mention of casualties? As you say, remarkable the ship survived and made it back with probably most of the cargo intact.


Slight amendment to the docking plan perhaps.
