Last February, I wrote a short review on here of a cruise from which I had just returned. Little did I know at the time that the cruising world was about to shut down.
I have a trans-Atlantic cruise (Celebrity Constellation) booked for October this year, sailing from Barcelona back to Tampa.
It looks like us Americans are going to become personae non gratae in the EU due to the rising number of virus cases in the US so I may not even make it to the ship. The other issue is that the CDC is showing no sign of lifting the no-sail ban so Tampa would be closed to cruise ship traffic.
I haven't given up hope yet but the immediate future for cruising certainly looks grim. However, it's not grim enough that I am tempted to buy a tent and go camping instead!
