Hi,

I just got Windows 10 today, and was signing into my accounts.

I don't know what I've done, but I have an annoying duplicate account that I can't seem to get rid off.

Is there a way to get rid of this? Maybe sign out completely and then start over?

Looks pretty normal for Win 10 Pro.
The assumption is that the user might not be the same as the Administrator so you get two levels of access as standard. Someone else might be able to use your PC but not change any settings.
Not a problem, just log in at whatever level you want.

Thanks, it's just that they both show the same name and are both Administrators. It's like one is with the profile picture, and one without.

I don't suppose you can easily start again without loosing anything?

Go to settings and click on 'accounts'
'Your info' should show just one main account.
'Family and other users' should show your second account.
You can remove it or change the account type from here.
or, You can remove it and then open another user account in a different name.

Thank you. I've had a look in Family and other users. I've attached a screenshot, they both show my same name, email and administrator. One with, one without picture. I'm not sure what I've done wrong during setup.

Oops, looks like you entered yourself twice by mistake.
If you have the media disc and it is a simple install then perhaps start over..
If you are upgrading and retaining files then back up and reinstall.
Otherwise, just try to change one of the names and or just learn to live with it...

Looks like it! You wouldn't have thought that'd be possible, would assume it would say 'already signed in with this email' or something. But I appear to have found the way to do it!

I'll try fix it tonight. Hopefully have good news next time I post.
