Gunnerman, do you know when she was built, as i remember a vessel with the same name grounding on the east of Barra while entering Ardveenish to land at the fish meal plant, it would have been about 1985/86 'ish she was very new at the time.
This vessel was built in 1985. The present name is Susan Vendelbo.
Eastside, the vessel you mention grounding in 85/86, was that Betty Børsmose or the Susan Vendelbo from that time, because there was at that time another Susan Vendelbo built 1984. She was smaller. She's the present L 270 Sea Lady.
Hi Ole, the name is correct, the vessel was red and white and i think she was on her maiden trip. she was holed and bented when the divers checked her the skipper/owner 's name was Thors Feldt Borsmose. She came in with another vessel the "Anna Sorin" i think she sunk in the north sea. any more info would be good.
Hugh
ps Sorry if the spelling of the names is not up the much.
Hi Hugh...
Yes owner of Betty Børsmose was skipper Thorvald Børsmose.
The Anna Sørina sank in the North Sea, while fishing eels. She was raised again and went back fishing under her old name. Present name is Iona.
