What a difference to how it now is. I stayed in the Crowne Plaza on the old Princes Dock site recently - went walking along what once were berths lined with ships of the cross Channel trade. Interesting to see to remnants of the old Belfast Steampship Co's linkspan still recognisable.

Lets not miss the other two well known vessels from that era, Royal Daffodil (aka The Fish & Chip Boat) & one of the Isle of Man Steam Packet ships.

Great picture, used to be like that nearly every day in the 50s. I worked the mersey for six years in the 50s. I think they are, Accra, Monas Queen and Royal Iris.
All the best. Barney.

Brings back great memories. I was lucky enough to travel on both the Accra and Apapa to Lagos - and it did leave on a Thursday! I think they got back on a Tuesday?
