Hello all. While walking on a beach between Bundaberg and Gladstone on the east coast af Australia, I found a green Canada Dry bottle containing a message.
The paper was in poor condition but the message is as follows:
"This bottle was thrown overboard from the m/v HARFLEET on 9th August 1974 in position 29.45 South 153.36 East when enroute from Yokohama to Whyalla.
Will the finder please post this note to me."
The surname is "PRITCHARD" and the only part of address readable is "RG10 OTH".
I have searched your forum and found info and photo of Harfleet.
If anyone knows of the sender I am sure he would like to hear of my find.
