I sailed with a C/E called Nobby Clarke who had the OBE. I was told he was given it for work done after a hurricane, possibly Hattie had destroyed Belize. The only reference I've found is for a capt Eustace on the MV Tactician who got an award in May 1962, but no reference to Nobby. He definitely had one, as it was sewn on his uniform jacket. Does anyone know of any details?
