Hi All!
My father who is now 90 - was a 2nd Radio Officer in WW2 on SS Dalcross, Manchester Progress, Wanderer and the Dorelian.

I have spent the evening searching for information on the web about these ships so that I can read it to him - as his eyesight is too poor to read or see pictures now. Unfortunately I didn't find much at all and then saw this site and wondered if anyone out there can give me information on the above vessels. He was in service on these ships from July 1940 to Oct 1945.

I am also going to investigate what medals he could have claimed - but all this takes time!!! Another night perhaps.

Regards
Maxine

Welcome aboard to you and your father from East Yorkshire, Maxine.
I see you've got some answers already which is what this ship is all about.
We have a good radio department and tell your father that he's expected on watch at midnight. The radio room is two decks up from the bar, just behind the chartroom.
Meanwhile look around and enjoy the trip.
