hi, Stephen.... ..no, never designed my own model... ..to be honest, I actually haven't the imagination to do that... ..I have the technical drawing skills having been a tech drawing teacher for 20 years, but just not the imagination.......I must follow those that have done to get anywhere near.
my next project is to be a Tyne class lifeboat, using a grp set of mouldings available from a manufacturer, and after that I an going to do my favourite trick and build 2 different classic lifeboats together, of the same historic era......the late 1920's. one is a 61' Barnett Princess Mary that served Padstow in Cornwall, and the other is an Australian lifeboat, a 45' Watson built under license from the RNLI and served at Adelaide, called Queenscliffe.
