I believe she was one of six twin screw cargo passenger ships run on a joint service from Europe to the Far East by Hapag and NDL until they were all sold to FE interests in the late 1960s. I travelled on one of her sister ships by then owned by C Y Tung of Orient Overseas Lines and renamed the 'Oriental Warrior'. She was certainly past her prime by then with endless engine problems but otherwise a beautiful and solid ship. Nick
