Brabant engine room

Brabant engine room

Engine room of Fred Olsen Ship Brabant, built at the Aker yard in Oslo in 1925. Here even I can see what is what, as it is not far different from the car engines I have screwed on. The pictures from the Brabant engine room was, btw., taken by a in Norway famous phitographer, Anders Beer Wilse, and while I cannot say why, this engineroom really comes alive - well for me at least. Maybe the smart thing is to have a foreground which frames the background.

On the bulhead, spare exhaust valves and cages and, what looks like and injector, could also be a starting air valve.
