Brocklebank's Maihar (I)

Brocklebank's Maihar (I)

MAIHAR I

Built for Thos. and Jno. Brocklebank in 1917 by Russell and Co., Port Glasgow as a coal burner but was converted to burn oil during 1956/7 and at the same time had some superstructure modifications done as well as the addition of a swimming pool.
She was sold to Eastbound Tankers Corp., Monrovia in 1961 and renamed Capella.
She arrived at Hirao, Japan on 4 May 1962 for scrapping.

Another photograph which should please ex-Brock and ex-Maihar Jim Pottinger who probably knows more about this old girl than anyone on this remarkable site.
