Ex Nedlloyd Barcelona built 1979, and at 29 years old lasting very well, also looks to be in good condition. Don`t know if her 3 sister vessels are still going though.

I photographed the BSLE ENDURANCE in Gibraltar on the 10th Dec and I have seen pics of the BSLE ENERGY photographed in Barcelona in June 2007.

BSLE was originally an acronym for Bulk Service Line Europe. However, the company is officially known simply as BSLE Malta Ltd. You can read about them here:

The 4 ex- Nedlloyd ships are all still trading and all on charter to BSLE. All are owned/managed by Cyprus Maritime Ltd., Athens

Wonderful to see this Dutch product by Van der Giessen-de Noord is still doing so well!

On a related note, the Van der Giessen - de Noord yard, which was closed somewhere around 2004, was recently re-opened and is building offshore vessels and the occasional dredger now. It is now operated by the Merwede yard I believe.
