CALEDONIAN PRINCESS

CALEDONIAN PRINCESS

Couple of happier shots of her before she became a nightclub.
Pic of her launch at Denny/s Dumbarton yard in April 1961.

What an excellent shot. I now see what angle ships were launched at Denny's. We built a few yachts etc at the yard opposite , we knew as MacAllisters.

Yes, into the River Leven goes Denny's final ship for British Railways. How pleased I am to now be able to say I have walked her decks - having visted her in September.

The end of Clyde built tonnage is a crying shame!
Many examples of their fine work crossed our strait and I walked the decks of all of them since the late 60's from the Aramoana onwards.

thanks for the opportunity Fairfield
