Another fine picture. Location a bit puzzling. Is she coming downriver from the West India to the Royals to load? If so, could be Brunswick Power Station in view. Stumps......Stan...... thamesphil.....anyone?

Spash - A superb shot of a lovely ship, she was one of my favourites(Thumb) As to the location , well when I first saw it I thought she's in Long Reach or just to enter it on her way to Tilbury as I think that is Ford's Dagenham in the background, but, what puzzles me is the collection of craft on the North Bank just ahead of her bow and those two giant chimneys . I'll have another 'dekko'.

Stumps, if she was on her way to Tilbury from the upper docks she would not be under tow from Galleons Reach until Northfleet Hope. I would discount Long Reach with those chimneys. I`m thinking along the lines of the four "City of Durban" class that discharged in the W.I. and loaded in the Albert?

Kyrenia , I take your point about being under tow and under normal cir***stances you are correct. I'll give it a bit of thought as I'm sure that's Ford's in the background. I shall returnB\)

It is a puzzle but I go with Stumps that it is Ford's -
their factory had at least 8 chimneys.
