CLYDE TRADERS
Lately I ve been very interested in puffers and vics history. And after to see the book LAST OF THE PUFFERMEN from Keith McGinn, I had the inspiration...

In scene coastal lighter LADY ISLE sailing on the Clyde, using my imagination, from Troon to any port or beach in area. And background, one of the Clan ships well recognised. CLAN MACINTYRE inbound Glasgow.

How Im a little obsessed with ship distances and proportional measurements in my drawings just add that colours of Clan ship is monocromatic to give depth and perspective.

Thanks to member BOBBY for your LADY ISLE pics uploaded in this site.

One more, fine to see a new watercolour from you.
Very nice the monocromatic shades in the background and the colorfulness in the foreground.
Great!

Thanks for the posting, it brings back many happy memories of my young days on the Clyde from fishing under the Gourock pier to first working on the Lochfyne (MacBraynes)

Roberto:
I like the contrasts of the different media and the monotones of the Clan MacIntyre and background against the colors of the Lady Isle and very simple foreground. Very effective!

Absolutely splendid Roberto, Those friends comments are absolutely valid, your painting is full of the atmosphere of the area and takes me back to many of my paintings of the area you describe. I wonder will you ever visit and sail on the restored Vic, still sailing majestically on the Clyde.
regards
Edgar.
