Bravo Dave!
I like the seagull landing on your head! Good design.
I'm sure your niece will be very happy with this birthday gift.

Thanks Stephen, she is coming to Liverpool in September to receive the painting and to spread the ashes of her recently deceased Mother at this spot. Her mother left Liverpool many years ago but always retained her love of the River Mersey.

Dave:
I really think you are onto something with this latest series of paintings. Interesting compositions, vibrant colors and occasional touches of whimsey all work well.

Thanks David,I find it quite relaxing to paint in this more loose style.

Thanks Fred,I like doing these paintings where i don't have to concentrate too much.I am doing a painting of Elder Dempster's Eboe set about 1975 showing her with white toppings on her bow and stern,i can't find the date when she changed to this livery.I am showing her being assisted into Langton dock by Willowgarth and Beechgarth and i am not certain if this was possible.
