Launched 27 May 1922, delivered to its owners on 21 March 1923, N.V. Rotterdamsche Lloyd, Rotterdam, Netherlands.
1 July 1940 whilst on voyage from New Orleans to Batavia captured by the German auxiliary cruiser THOR and brought in to Lorient as a prize. There rebuilt as a supply ship for U-Boats. Before refurbishing was finished heavily damaged in an allied air raid on 23 Sept 1943, all further works were halted. The wreck was scuttled by the Germans in the mouth of the river Loire on 10 Aug 1944. Wreck was salvaged by the French on 30 May 1946 to clear the waterway and sold for scrapping in November 1946.
