Thanks for those memories and souvenirs Andysk. Of the reduced mail fleet, she was always my favourite and I spent seven and a half happy trips on her.

Thanks for this, I also spent 6 voyages on her, initially as 4th (in 1971), then 3rd R/O in 1973, when I had a spell in hospital in Cape Town with yellow jaundice for the coastal voyage. Outward in isolation in my cabin, homeward as unofficial DBS, though I remained signed on ! I was known as the orange juice king for than trip !
