EMPIRE DAUGHTER

Built as a 2026 ton 3 cylinder steam collier by Grangemouth Dockyard and launched on 27 December 1943 for the MOWT.
In 1946 she was sold to Harries Bros. and Co., Swansea where she was renamed Glanrhyd.
By 1948 she was trading as Noeldale for Tavistock Shipping Co., London.
In 1949 she was renamed Kinnaird Head, as shown in this photograph taken off Southend on 6 September 1953, for owners Henry and McGregor Ltd., Leith.
By 1961 she was owned by Gino Gardella, Italy and was trading as Brick Quinto. After 16 years of service she was broken up at Savona beginning 13 July 1976.
