"Ernebank"
She was a one-off in that she succeeded the "fast" "Foylebank" and "Laganbank" twins of 1930 and preceeded the war-completion twins of 1940, the "Araybank" and "Shirrabank" For the first time, the accommodation block was consolidated amidships by bringing the bridge and fidley houses together in a Belfast-built ship. In this respect, she was closer in appearance to her near sisters from Doxford's, the "Eskbank" three units also of 1937 except that "Ernebank" had a most acceptable walk around bridge front on the Master's deck. The jumbo boom and the light poles are rigged on the masts indicating she is arriving somewhere for work.
