I think it was the Will Everard but no doubt somebody can confirm this. She was still a working vessel at the time we passed her in the English Channel

Coming South one time towards the Thames on the 'Aptity' we came across the 'Will Everard' laying becalmed off Haisboro. We got a line aboard her and towed her right through Yarmouth Roads until she slipped us off Southwold and went on her way. No V.H.F in those days but a good strong voice and the Aldis lamp when it was dark. Great days !!! Regards

Hi Awateah great stuff.

Can you confirm that this is the Will Everard. I heard that she is now trading as a company conference/junket type vessel and is just named 'Will' now.

Wouldn't she be the Ship's Mistress?

Thanks awateah -- but I think she looks better doing her thing -- with a cargo, a Skipper, a boy and a dog aboard!
