During a visit to Cardiff in 2004, veterans and other guests gathered onboard Sir G for a remembrance service and buffet lunch.
Also onboard was Captain Phil Roberts who commanded Sir Galahad during the Falklands war, and Carrie Hailwood, wife of 3E/O Chris Hailwood who sadly died during the fatal attack.
I made a 600 mile round trip (NorfolkCardiff) to be there on the day amongst several former Welsh Guards and other veteterans.
A most memorable event, never to be forgotten.
