Incredible sight, still has the bottom two dummy Sea cat missiles on the launcher and life raft canisters (empty) in place, just chopped up as she sits.
Guys i totally agree i just report it but am furious too.. despite attempts to have an injunction put in place with all the costs involved the disposal ofhms plymouth was begun immediately and is due to be complete by mid october with turkish military involved in the security of the site, rumor has it that hmg was involved but no confirmation can be affirmed something was definatively underhanded in the fate of this once proud grey warrior... i have asked a foi reply from no 10 but i doubt the way dc works anything will come to fruition, whilst i agree that the trust had plenty of time to put to gether a rescue plan and to execute it given the condition of the ship she was far to gone to carry it out and surprised she survived the tow, the councils that she was home to now all recognise the loss and in particualr PLYMOUTH city council but it was to late too late too late typical of couincils.coucillors i have been asked a lot for images of her but have had to agree to a code of silence for another 2 weeks and lots of slating on media and social web sites for it buts thats just the way it goes..... an interesting time was had at aliaga the locals were charming and have been invited back for the next round of uk defence chopping...... an interesting business that is controlled by the turkish governement and not as hazardous or dangrous as one may think..
When anyone mentions 'Common Purpose' I tend to translate that to: 'Conspiracy Theory'.
Maybe there were some left-handed-bricklayers involved as well -- I don't think so!
If the Government (and former owners of the ship) 'arrange' for things to be expedited for political reasons I do not think that it qualifies as a conspiracy. If it had sunk en route then there may be cause to raise a few eyebrows, but it didn't.
