Looks like one of the big Rio Class freezer trawlers built by the Barreras shipyard in Vigo Spain for the Cuban Governmen during 70Thies.

Yes she is one of the Cuban Rio Class super trawlers, her name is "Silver"

Wonder how she ended up there?

Anyone followed the Cuban fleet through the 90 etc? I understand they are intending to reform it.

Hi, yes I checked LR with the name "rio canimar" came up with Silver as her current name. wonder what she is doing there, how long she has been there?
Is she flooded out? or just grounded?

[COLOR="Blue"] While researching another (which was an 'unknown') photo of this vessel on www.shipspotting.com, I found this really good, identified photo of yours, miamivice!
Thanks!
I have researched a bit of her history and will add it below for interest.

Many thanks again, regards, Rick
