History:
The ship was launched on 4 May 1929.
From 1929 to 1930 she sailed as s.s. "Henri Jaspar" for Lloyd Royal Belge S.A., Antwerp, Belgium.
From 1930 to 1955 she sailed as s.s. "Henri Jaspar" for Compagnie Maritime Belge (Lloyd Royal) S.A., Antwerp, Belgium.
During World War II in Allied service. Registered on 28 June 1940 by the Ministry of Shipping.
On 8 February 1941 near Sully Island she sailed on a mine (captain: Lauwereins). The heavily damaged ship was put on the beach by the tugs "Blazer", "Reagarth" and "Bristolian" to prevent sinking, and she was salvaged and taken to Cardiff on February 23, 1941. On April 17, 1941, she boarded a Mount Stuart dry dock. she returned to service on 3 October 1941. In 1945 she returned to her owner.
She was sold on April 16, 1953.
From 1953 to 1956 she sailed as s.s. "Trade Winds" for Trade Winds Corporation, Monrovia, Liberia.
From 1956 to 1960 she sailed as s.s. "Transcarib" for Cia Nav. Continental S.A., Monrovia, Liberia.
On 10 May 1960 she arrived in Tokyo, to be demolished in Japan in that year.
