Type 21 frigate completed in 1975 by Yarrow's at Scotstoun taken at Erskine Bridge on trials in the days when the Red Ensign was flown.
She went to the Pakistani Navy in 1993 as TARIQ.

Exocet was fitted on Ambuscade quite late on, certainly after 1982. Never understood why she, Amazon and Antelope had to do without for the first few years. Cost I suppose?

Always was the custom to fly the Red Ensign until the ship was accepted by the MoD. Do I take it from your comment that this procedure has changed?

Yes indeed-Blue Ensign now on trials, White when handed over.
